I am going too Rotterdam and Groningen (in the north) for my cousin's wedding from the 2nd-6th of Sept. I fly back to London Standstead on the 6th about 5pm because I need to catch my flight from London Heathrow about 10pm to Tel Aviv. Going to Jerusalem to work on a promotional doc for The Palestine Children's Fund. We are taking a child to the hospital to get heart surgery. At first I was reluctant about going considering current events though somewhat ironically, the more I have learnt about the conflict, I have become determined to go.
I get back on the 16th Sept. On the 19th I am going to Beijing to help a friend out on a project that involves interviews with famous Comtempory Chinese painters. Then I will proceed to do some sight seeing and get down with some locals practising the little Mandarin I know. I will fly from there after 10 days to Hong Kong where I have to renew my ID Card (had to do it before Feb 2007). It's low season and hopefully the weather will be fine. Have to be back on the 23rd for a project in Kent for Medway Council to do with refugees in schools.
A break from shorts and music videos etc. It's nice to do some 'community' based projects. Something that means something. Something that has less to do with aesthetic than meaning.
Talking of aesthetic and meaning I recently acquired my first Leica and did some test shoooting the other day, images as below.
